ABAS Protect is a privately held family business specializing in the manufacture of perimeter protection solutions. For over 90 years, we have served the Swedish market with security products specially adapted for conditions in our northern latitudes.
In 1925, AB Ambjörnarps Stängselfabrik was founded, producing woven wire mesh with square meshes ranging from ten to one hundred millimeters, made from prime galvanized iron wire. In 1949, the business was moved to a new factory in Ambjörnarp to take advantage of the railway. AB Ambjörnarps Stängselfabrik, or ABAS, was thus established. For over 100 years, we have delivered high-quality products, always with the customer in focus. We supply area protection to industries, construction sites, and security objects such as nuclear power plants and prisons, which places very high demands on quality and operational reliability.

ABAS Protect focuses on quality in every detail. We manufacture most of our products in-house and therefore have control over the entire manufacturing process from raw material to finished product. We have been certified according to ISO 9001 since 1996. For us, it is a matter of course that applicable standards, norms and environmental legislation are met.
ABAS Protect markets its products under a number of different brands, where ProGate sliding gates are among the most appreciated on the market.
ABAS is a member of the Swedish Association of Fence Contractors.
